Previously, teacher Edgar had told us about this evaluation that for Profesorado students will give them the opportunity to reinforce all their challenges since their next step is the teaching field next year; however, for students from Licenciatura, this activity, at least for me, will provide a clear image of what we have reached through the journey of the three Didactics. In this evaluation, the teacher plus two students were supposed to provide feedback based on strengths and challenges.

My classmate
Laura and I decided to work together for this activity, so the teacher gave
each pair the topic they will be developing for the micro – teaching. We were
really blessed because our topic was Phonics, and we were almost the last ones
to pass. I was really excited about the topic because I just had little idea
what Phonic was. As a result, I started to look for reliable and suitable
information in order to perform the micro – teaching the best I could do so. However,
one question was surrounded me all those weeks: am I ready for the next level?
Obviously, this question made me doubt about myself and my skills as a teacher. I even have nightmares about it, in which I was behaving so mean, and sarcastic towards students that were in there.

_ I was the first one to pass, so I felt as if
things were just floating in the air, naturally, and spontaneously. I prepared
a song called “Fresh Fish” because we were mainly focused on the “SH” letter
combination and pronunciation. Then, I taught them new vocabulary by using
beautiful images that I myself created. In addition, this time I smiled more
than ever, and I was so kind than ever that made me feel that I enjoyed so much
the activity. But, we concluded the micro – teaching, and it was the time to be
evaluated.
_Among all
the strengths, teacher Edgar and two of my classmates mentioned that I used
beautiful AV’s, wonderful arrangement of the classroom and all its decoration,
good language skills, nice tone of voice, self – confidence, student
engagement, and scaffolding. On the contrary, I had had to face the challenges,
which I thought will be a lot, teacher Edgar told. My challenges were just two:
I did not CCQ students, and I forgot to give instructions.

At this
point, I knew all my challenges, and, of course, I am working on that by
remembering that students must know the procedures and steps they are going to
do as well as providing clear, concise, and precise instructions for them to
understand better what they will do through the activities. I really liked this
activity because it showed me who I am in regards of teaching, and now, I can
say that I love teaching and all that it involves to teach others. And this
section is named “the falling action;” however, for me is the opposite because
I need to keep climbing the knowledge mountain.
