THE BEGINNING AND DEVELOPMENT
![Picture](/uploads/9/1/3/3/9133862/399720.jpg?362)
My microteaching consisted on developing a Phonics class demonstration for kids. The topic was “SH” sound in words. The class was for a 3rd grade of basic level. The class was very interesting and students liked it. Also they were participating and practicing the “sh” sound. I prepared two activities to make students practice the sound and internalize it as well. Students were engaged with the topic and they enjoyed learning it. The activities were easy and appropriate for the topic and students’ proficiency level.

In my case, the topic was
fascinating and inspiring for teaching. Being honest I was confused with the
topic, but my classmate Beatriz Garcia explained it to me. Then I began
thinking about the activities I was going to develop with students in order to
do it effectively.
During the class demonstration, I was excited about teaching because it was the first time I taught this topic, and I had high expectations for it. I hoped that I did it well and students learned from me as I learned from them and from this activity.
I thank teacher Edgar for providing me this opportunity because it was really evocative in my own growth as an English teacher. Now I have gained ideas on how to teach topics like this and some others which are very close to it.
After the microteaching my classmate Beatriz and I were ready for the feedback which was provided by Teacher Edgar and two of our classmates. I imagined there were more challenges and strengths; however, it wasn't like that. I just had three challenges and seven strengths so, I was proud of the work I did. Among the strengths the teacher and my classmates mentioned are voice, self-confidence, use of visual aids, arrangement and decoration of the classroom, language skills, and scaffolding. The challenges they found from my performance are I didn’t CCQ, I didn't give clear instructions, and I didn't use reflexive pronouns in discourse, either.

THE FEEDBACK

MY STRENGHTS
Voice:I know that it’s a very important aspect to take care as it allows me to maintain students’ attention in class.
Self-confidence: This is a necessary treat for teachers to transmit security and confidence to students.
Arrangement of classroom/decoration: Creating the environment of the classroom help students to feel in a comfortable place in which they are part of the learning as the decoration can be created by them, too.
Language skills: I have discovered that I have learned and improved a lot as I know I have better my pronunciation, intonation, punctuation, and fluency. And it is also useful to show students that I know what I'm teaching them for them to trust me.
Scaffolding: This is a very valuable tool to check students' learning and comprehension during classes and after them.

AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Check comprehension questions: CCQing is so necessary in the classroom as it allows teachers to know if students comprehend whar they are asked to do.
Here you are a link about CCQing students in class.

FUTURE GOALS
![Picture](/uploads/9/1/3/3/9133862/8125825.jpg?348)
My microteaching was really interesting and useful for my own performance. I learned a lot through it. I liked it a lot, I enjoyed it, I tried to do my best. I cannot say that I did perfectly as it is not possible. I did pretty well, I got good results as I expected.
My future expectations are to become an excellent and effective English teacher by bettering and improving the teaching process in order to guarantee student’s learning. Also I would like to use technology in the classroom to innovate my own teaching methodology and strategies, techniques and activities for students to get motivated about the learning of English.

I like using aims because I enjoy creating them and looking for ways and roads for students to understand the topics more esily.
I will also use technology in my classes for students to get familiar with it and for me toput into practice my own learning.
